I always knew that I would be a photographer. It wasn’t until I finished serving five years in the Navy in the fast attack submarine fleet, however, that I had the chance to do it full time. I also was able to explore the technical side of photography through course work at Northern Virginia Community College where I was introduced to large format work and able to refine my digital skills.

While I enjoy the ease of digital, I prefer large format for the color, detail, and ability to produce incredible fine art prints. My favorite format is panoramic and I am able to produce panoramic prints in large format with a 4 x 5 camera. I capture the image on film using a special 6 x 17 roll back and then scan it for printing with archival paper and ink. I would have loved to have had this equipment when I was stationed in Hawaii during my Navy years. I am a member of the International Association of Panoramic Photographers and I am the ExpoDisc exclusive panoramic photographer.

My work has been shown at the Exposure Gallery in Richmond, Virginia where I have participated in shows with the likes of Jock Sturges and David R. Allison. I have work at two stock photo sites: Dreamstime and iStockPhoto. I have done event work for the University of California, Washington Center and worked on updating their photography archives. My pictures have been published in the Public Affairs Report of the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley, the student newspaper for American University and in DC Style Magazine. When I lived in Arlington, Virginia I was the volunteer photographer for Rock Creek Park, which is part of the National Park Service located in Washington, D.C.

Most of my work is sold directly from this website and I have shipped several fine art prints to customers internationally. In the local area, I am currently the photographer for Old Dominion Speedway. I produce stock shots for the drivers and participants at the raceway through a separate website: http://www.PolePositionPhotography.com.

My wife and I just had a baby girl in March and I am now blessed with two lovely women in my life. I spend a lot of time caring for the baby when I am not out on a shoot. We enjoy living in Manassas, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC. Thank you for visiting my site and viewing my fine art prints. Please feel free to contact me with any comments or questions!
